This is a work of fiction; however, I can offer my readers that such periods of darkness, in varying degrees and for various reasons, are something I have experienced, and I’m certain that it’s a common thread we all share as part of our human experience. It’s a thread I’m hoping will connect us all – where those of us who have transcended the darkness can assure those in it that it’s indeed very possible to come out better and stronger – it’s even probable in fact.“
